Pre-purchase Homebuyer Education Classes
NeighborWorks New Horizons offers an eight-hour pre-purchase class covering the basics of homeownership, including the pros and cons of purchasing a home; the roles of the real estate agent, lenders, inspectors, and attorneys. Budgeting and credit is covered along with general mortgage-related terminology. Potential homeowners learn home maintenance and other basic responsibilities of a homeowner. Individual credit counseling is offered at no cost to people who successfully complete the 8 hour Homebuyer Education Class.
NeighborWorks is a HUD approved counseling agency.
